Software Developer Job Description

Department: Software

Reports To: VP Software Development

Reports To: VP Software Development

Salary: Commensurate with Experience

Employment Type: Full-Time

Location San Marcos, CA

Summary

Develop, create, and modify applications or utilities throughout the company. Analyze user needs and develop appropriate software solutions. Design and customize software for specific client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency. Can work individually or with other developers.
Well versed in research, design, development, and testing of operating systems-level software, compilers.

Essential Skills and Responsibilities

Responsibility for this position include, but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Practical experience writing applications in Python and C/C++
  • Ability to consistently produce clean, efficient code based on client specifications
  • Ability to integrate software components and third-party programs to meet specifications
  • Reliability and proficiency in verifying and deploying programs and systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Collaborative mindset and willingness to recommend and execute improvements
  • Commitment to optimization and accountability evident in creating technical documentations for reference and reporting

Education and/or Experience

  • BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
  • 2-6 years of experience as a succesful Software Developer, Software Engineer, or simmilar role
  • Strong working knowledge of development methodologies
  • MATLAB, ReST, image processing, computer vision experience
  • Relevant experience with databases and Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) frameworks
  • Ability and willingness to learn new languages and technologies
  • Resourcefulness and troubleshooting aptitude coupled with focus and follow-through

Language and Mathematical Skills

Effective ability to communicate orally or in written form effectively with co-management, internal and external customers.

Reasoning Ability

Demonstrate the ability to anticipate and solve practical problems or resolving issues.

Electronics Assembler

Assemble or fabricate mechanical parts, pieces or products using a variety of tools and equipment according to required specifications in a specific area of production line in a manufacturing organization.

Essential Skills and Responsibilities

Responsibility for this position include, but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Read, interpret, andd follow basic blueprints, diagams, engineering drawings,, specifications, biills of materials, and other writted instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products
  • Utilize hand held tools such as handheld screw and drill gun
  • Performing soldering, which is the process in which two or more metal items are joined together by melting and flowing a filler metal into the joint
  • Maintain inventory of product in work stations
  • Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards
  • Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified
  • Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specifications changes
  • Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Heavy Lifting required
  • Other duties assigned

Education and/or Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1-2 years mechanical assembly expereince may be required
  • Basic litteracy required
  • Follow instruction
  • Basic computer navigation and utilization skills
  • Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly
  • Critical thinking, reasoning, and problem solving skills for production of new concepts or ideas
  • High attention to detail and self-motivation
  • Specific technical or vocational training or certifications may be required; may be required to pass ruler test


Service Technician

Customer service position. Improves customer satisfaction, maximizes customer retention, and increases profitability. Manages all on site installation, repair, maintenance, and test tasks. Cooperates with technical team and shares information across the organization. Bi-Lingual: Spanish required.

  • Tie workflow to schedule
  • Manage all on site installation, repair, maintenance and test tasks
  • Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions
  • Produce timely and detailed service reports
  • Document processes
  • Operate vehicle in a safe manner and use field automation systems
  • Follow all company field procedures and protocols
  • Cooperate with technical team and share information across the organization
  • Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations/briefings
  • Build positive relationships with customers
  • Other duties may be assigned

Education and/or Experience

  • Bi-Lingual: Spanish
  • Technical Degree or Certification
  • Must have proven field service experience
  • Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service technical equiptment
  • Familiarity with mobile tools and applications
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills and use resourcesfulness and troubleshooting skills coupled with focus and collaborative follow-through
