A revolution in listening technology!
If you’re planning to get headphones to use with an iPhone or iPad, or even an Apple Watch, we highly recommend that you get the new Apple AirPods Pro. Why? Because they are amazing – that’s why! Although standard Airpods are good and sound great, the AirPods Pro is the ultimate experience. With high definition digital sound coming through your Apple device, why would you use anything other than an absolute best for hearing all that perfection? And they’re wireless! No more awkward tangles. Many reviewers have stated that the Airpods Pro is one of Apple’s best new products in years. Some reviewers even argue that they will change how you listen to music.
From setup to everyday use, these new AirPods are exceptional in every way. To pair them, you just open the plastic charging case. To use them, you do the same, and whichever device you’re currently using will connect. Thanks to Apple’s W1 chip, the AirPods Pro has a psychic connection with your devices. They will automatically pair with any of the devices connected to your Apple ID. That means you can switch between devices seamlessly.
Optical sensors and motion accelerometers work together to automatically control the audio experience, engaging the microphones for phone calls and Siri access, and enabling the AirPods to play sound as soon as they’re in your ears. You also have the freedom to wear one or both AirPods, and you can play or skip forward with a double-tap when listening to music. A speech-detecting accelerometer recognizes when you’re talking and works with a pair of beamforming microphones to filter out external noise. No more “What? Say that again?”
Sound-wise, the AirPods Pro provides better sound than the old wired AirPods because it is so easy to get a great seal in your ear. They come with a set of three sized, tapered, easy fit silicone tips that form to your ear. Though noise-canceling for uninterrupted sound, they can also keep you connected to reality with the transparency mode. Finally, these AirPods use Siri, so you ask for what you want to listen to and even make calls. The wireless charging case gives you twenty-four hours of use with multiple charges, and, if you’re in a pinch, five minutes on the charger will give you an hour of listening time. New controls allow you to double-tap the left or right Pod to access a customizable shortcut (skip forward, go back, play, pause or Siri), and you can simply take out one Pod to pause the music. If you remove both, then audio is cut and routed back to your iPhone’s speaker (so alerts don’t disappear). If you put one Pod back in the charging case and close it, then the remaining Pod switches to a summed mono mode — instead of playing just the left or right channel of the stereo pair, it plays both. This is great for one-eared listening to audiobooks or podcasts.
Many critics feel Mac should make the AirPods with replaceable batteries, but we’re not there yet. So when it is time for a new pair, Apple offers a program for responsible disposal. Go to Apple’s trade-in website, select “Other devices” followed by “Headphones and speakers,” enter your address, and you’ll receive a free pre-paid shipping label for your old AirPods
