Hey Kid, What’s Inside that Panic Playdate?

Playdate

Sometimes we just need a little distraction.  The pocket-sized Panic Playdate may be just the ticket.  We got a look through one of these charming micro gaming consoles recently for our pals at iFixit, in support of another teardown.

This compact, brightly colored gaming console is ripe for a teardown.  Among its unique features is the crank handle… not for charging, but for use with some of its games.  Simplicity seems to be a hallmark of this unite, and that made for a fairly straightforward disassembly.

A welcome distraction!

Check out the complete iFixit teardown, and see their final reparability score here.  Question: If your screen is smaller, does that equal less relative screen time? What questions do you have?
