Rosca de Reyes: Who’s Makin’ the Tamales?

Rosca-De-Reyes X-ray

Rosca de Reyes is a sweet bread made especially for celebrating Rosca de Reyes, or Three Kings Day, January 6th. The loaf is divided among the guests who check their slices for a hidden figurine of the baby Jesus.  Tradition demands that whoever finds a figurine must make tamales for everyone for the soon-to-follow Dia de la Candelaria.

Now, making tamales is no small chore. So the question becomes, do you want to find a figurine or not. Either way, Creative Electron is here to help.  Pop your Rosca into a TruView™ X-ray system and you’ll have the secret location of the baby Jesus in seconds. If you use your X-ray vision to ensure that you get the piece with the figurine, that is your choice.  We can’t help you make the tamales. But you find lots of great uses for your new X-ray system.

Happy Rosca de Reyes!
